This is a two part wheel that you can make at home.

• Set Up Your Wheel

  • You’ll have two pieces: the outer ring with the dates of the month and the inner ring with the moon phases.

  • Make sure the wheel can rotate smoothly.

• Align the New Moon

  • Find the date of the upcoming New Moon for your region (from a lunar calendar or online).

  • Rotate the inner moon phase wheel so the New Moon marker lines up with that date.

• Check Any Date

  • To see the moon phase for a specific day, rotate the outer date ring until the date is at the top or marked pointer.

  • Read the moon phase that lines up with the date.
